I think I have a few spools of the same thread, they look very similar in any case. I find them easier to work with and also the chain stitches come out much better but the binding is not as firm as with the prewaxed thread from Royalwood I usually use. The lime green is gorgeous!

The jig worked well, and I am glad I made it immediately – I would have gone mad measuring just these 12 times. And initially I had in mind making several copies of the book…

Hi Louise, glad you like my little book. At the moment nothing is for sale yet, and I am not sure it will really come to and end that is suited for “mass” production and sale. Your book sounds really wonderful and special. To be quite honest: I didn’t dare to use the original prints. All I did so far was experiments and I thought “if it works out, I will use the originals” – how brave of you to use yours!

I’m so happy to see you returned to the sunprints! I loved those. The book is gorgeous! I’m really happy for you that you were able to have a little studio time at last.

And, alas, I so wish I hadn’t been away from the computer so much and had seen your jig before I went and cut out a bunch of similar frame pages for my own last book project. Next time! Great idea.

So interesting and beautiful Hilke! You know amazing it is, that I have made a book of my own personal botanical sunprints, but it is leather bound – and made it just for me, not to sell, as the prints are original. It’s such a wonderful project to do! I love what you have done here, completely different to mine obviously, with the whole project in mind from the beginning – it’s gorgeous, I hope you will make more! It’s great to incorporate your visions and bindings in one.
